1 endowment insurance
Finlife coverage that pays a specific sum of money on a specified date, or earlier in the event of the policy holder’s death. Part of the premium paid is for the life coverage element, while the remainder is invested in real estate and stocks and shares (either a “with-profits” or “without-profits” policy) or, in the case of a unit-linked policy, is used to purchase units in a life fund. The sum the policyholder receives at the end of the term depends on the size of the premiums and the performance of the investments. -
